Florence Welch reading Poems of William Blake for Gucci’s Spring/ Summer 2017 Fashion Show
All right guys, I’ve decided to put together another masterpost for you - this time on historical fashion. This could get lengthy so… bear with me. (Forgive me also if some of the dates are a touch inaccurate - I’m not a historian and I’m going with what Google gives me.)

Neolithic Clothing - The beginnings of textiles, some woven materials, leather, etc. Circa 102000 BCE - 2000 BCE
Bronze Age Britain - The development of more sophisticated textiles, including wool and some ornamentation, including brooches. Circa 3200 BCE - 600 BCE

And I’m stopping here. You should have it after this point, kiddos.
You better appreciate this.
I put on my Tinder profile that I hate sports, I don’t drink beer and I’m 150% feminine all day all the time and so many guys are like…offended? One guy was like “what if the guy you like loves sports, you won’t even watch with him?” And I asked “will you wake up at 8am during fashion week to watch live streams of shows with me because that’s what I’m really interested in. And he said “I don’t really find that interesting.” And I’m like THEN WHY THE FUCK WOULD I CARE ABOUT SPORTS FOR YOU OMG.
this isn’t an isolated thing. women are expected to change for men. if you don’t want to have children (ever) then someone is bound to say to you: well, what if your husband wants to have children? i was thinking about dyeing my hair & my dad says, what if the guy you’re dating doesn’t like it? we’re expected to lose weight & to dress in a certain way to appeal to men. we’re expected to be less opinionated, less assertive, less talented when competing against a man… it never fucking ends.
DO YOU AND WEED OUT THE WEAK MEN 🌺
Every time someone tells me they won’t dye their hair/do something they like/wear something/make a choice because their boyfriend wouldn’t like it I suggest eating him alive and moving on to stronger men
This generation is so intelligent. They care about racism, feminism, ableism, and that’s such a positive mentality, but they need to leave room for forgiveness. Nobody is perfect and people are educating themselves at different paces. So be mindful.
“Went through a hot topic phase and an anime phase simultaneously as a young teen” is a permanent personality trait. That shit follows you. You can never fully recover from that kind of past. You are cursed to always carry the remnants of that fashion and those interests. You can always tell in a room who went through that and who is still recovering. Someone starts playing “I can’t decide” by the scissor sisters on their phone and you immediately lock eyes with the nearest person wearing a mostly-black outfit that is kinda alternative but kinda not and you share a knowing Look of solidarity and eternal suffering
